Agriculture & Food: Animal Agriculture Animal production accounts for a large portion of Graham County agriculture. Trout, cattle, horses, and goats have proven to be the money makers here, and are the varieties of livestock most likely to be found on the local farm. In addition, animal production has become the most valuable segment of North Carolina agriculture. Today, animal agriculture accounts for about 60 percent of the state's total farm cash receipts. North Carolina Cooperative Extension helps growers use the latest research to improve profits and manage animal waste in environmentally sound ways.
