The 1st Annual Chatham County Spring Ag Fest on March 24, 2018, was a huge success with an estimated crowd of 2,000 in attendance. The Spring Ag Fest is a celebration of Chatham County’s agriculture, forestry, and natural resources. Visitors enjoyed over 80 indoor and outdoor exhibits highlighting local farms, farmers’ markets, sustainable agriculture, agricultural support and advocacy, agribusiness, beekeeping, livestock, forestry, green industry, wildlife, conservation, and much more. Visitors enjoyed watching several events at the Livestock Arena, including a Parade of Breeds, cutting horse demonstration, hunter jumper demonstration, working dog demonstration, and barrel racing.
