Congratulations to Graham County beekeeper, Alan Wamsley, who made a great showing at the Swain County Fair this past weekend.  Alan took first place, as well as “Best in Show” for his sourwood honey; and his new lavender honey took second place overall in the “dark honey” category.  Alan’s next stop is the Mountain State Fair in September, where his honey will go up against some of the best honey in the state.  We wish him luck!
