COUNTRY FAIR Growing vegetables, canning food and quilting have long been traditions of the mountain people of Western North Carolina. These skills were once a matter of survival, but today they help to illustrate the talents, abilities and heritage of a proud people. The Graham County Country Fair has been organized to celebrate our community’s heritage, to display the artistry of local individuals, and to provide young people an opportunity to learn and take pride in our traditional ways of life. Fair entries must be dropped off at Stecoah Valley Center on Friday, October 14, between 1:00 and 6:00 pm and will remain on display until 3:00 pm on Saturday (exception for baked goods).
