A horse is a horse of course unless … his rider is Klancy Stevens. Dr on Call (Doc) and Klancy traveled to the North Carolina 4-H District Horse Show as the only competitors from Graham County.
The perfect horse and rider combination is not something that is found every day or that comes without hard work. Countless hours of dedication go into not only perfecting the skills needed for the show but also the care of the horse. Klancy and Doc competed in three classes while at the show. These classes included non-trotting equitation, non-trotting western, and racking pleasure. This amazing team placed 1st in equitation and racking pleasure with a 4th place in the western class.
All the time, effort, and love put into this sport paid off as Klancy secured her spot in the North Carolina State 4-H Horse Show as well as an invitation to the Southeast Regionals in Perry, GA.
Klancy and her horse Doc are truly special and will continue to make Graham County 4-H very proud.
