P.D. Royal was the big winner of the giant pumpkin contest held by N.C. Cooperative Extension in Graham County. One of several businesses in the county holding the contest, N.C. Cooperative Extension offered a $100 Ingles gift card to the person who came the closest to guessing the actual weight of their giant pumpkin. The Graham County office pumpkin weighed in at 106 pounds, with P.D.’s winning guess coming in at 112.5 pounds. We hope everyone who played along had fun, and once again, congratulations to P.D.!

Please don’t forget to check out other businesses in Graham County that are doing the same contest for another chance to win! These businesses are:  Ford’s Auto Parts, Sweetwater Farm and Garden, United Community Bank, First Citizen’s Bank, Farm Bureau Insurance, and the Graham Star.contest winner in front of fall display with certificate and county extension director
